Briana Phillips, LLMSW

Hello, and welcome. My name is Briana Phillips and I am Social Worker who is passionate about helping people recognize their strengths, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful change.

I have always valued the importance of community, connection, and personal growth. My educational journey includes earning an Associate Degree in Mental Health from Oakland Community College, a Bachelor of Social Work from Oakland University, and a Master of Social Work from Madonna University.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in case management, psychiatric care, and geriatric services, supporting individuals from many different backgrounds and stages of life. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family conflict, and relationship challenges.

I believe that therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported, and accepted for who you are. My approach is rooted in strengths-based, person-centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. I strive to help clients build on their existing strengths while developing new tools and perspectives to overcome obstacles and reach their goals.

Outside of my professional work, I have a passion for music, art, and self-care. I believe creativity can be a powerful part of the healing process, and I encourage clients to explore artistic expression as a way to process emotions, tell their stories, and discover new strengths. Whether through music, art, conversation, or other forms of self-expression, I enjoy helping individuals find what resonates with them on their personal journey toward growth and wellness.

Taking the first step toward therapy can be difficult, but you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. I look forward to meeting you, learning your story, and supporting you as you move toward healing, resilience, and the life you envision for yourself.
