Dr. Adams graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work; she then pursued her Master's Degree from Howard University in Social Work. Dr. Adams earned her doctoral degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago specializing in family and child psychotherapy.
Dr. Adams has over 15 years of clinical social work experience working with both adults, children and the elderly. She has developed her expertise in working with children of incarcerated parents, adolescents with eating disorders, children with divorcing parents, marital issues, family issues, grief and loss, and domestic violence related issues, specifically, children of abusive parents.
Dr. Adams is a native Detroiter and has access to community resources that would be beneficial to clientele. She is warm, personable and enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life.
