About Me
I, Mark Reid, am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan and my specialty is Marriage and Family Counseling. I have a bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Ashland University.
My specialty and passion is helping individuals, couples and families overcome problems, build strong bonds, develop healthy communication skills, draw closer, and enjoy life together. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. Today’s family faces many challenges—communication problems, financial stress, addictions, substance abuse, infidelity, separation, divorce, disabilities and illness, adjusting to step families, parenting issues, and so much more. I believe that families and relationships can be restored, strengthened, and healed. It is my goal to help families and marriages succeed, and I have seen this goal fulfilled many times throughout my work.
I have served as an adjunct instructor at Spring Arbor University teaching Family and Parenting Courses. I also conduct workshops on getting free from pornography (porn addiction) and speak at businesses, churches and seminars throughout the metro-Detroit area.
I have been happily married for 38 years, and I have both a son and a daughter.
