Imagine, every day, having to turn people away who are crying out in desperation and seeking help for themselves or a family member because they cannot afford to pay the lowest sliding scale fee for professional counseling. It could be a single mother struggling to make the bills, or a family whose father just got laid off from his job, or a family under pressure just to make ends meet. As a result, these hurting people who desperately want and seek after help are even more frustrated, angry, depressed, anxious, and hopeless.
To address this critical and serious problem we have established the Helping Families Cope Program. The program provides participating low-income families with 5 to 10 paid sessions of counseling to help them cope, and give them hope and healing.
